In the past also the court had suggested the government to consider changing work timings and weekly offs of people so that passengers in trains are divided and there are lesser crowds in local trains.The other suggestion to decongest the local trains by the court was to run double decker trains. However the railway authorities had informed the court that it was not possible for them to introduce double-decker trains given the current infrastructure.
